We only share what is needed, with:

4a. Shopify, the Shop app and Shopify's network services

Our store runs on Shopify, and we use Shopify's network services, including the Shop app, Shop Pay, Shopify Email and product search. To provide these, Shopify may use information about your visits and purchases at our store together with information from other Shopify stores, for example to show you relevant products and offers in the Shop app, to personalise search results, to send marketing emails you have agreed to, and to prevent fraud. For some of these uses, Shopify acts as a separate controller of your information. You can read how Shopify uses your information in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at privacy.shopify.com. If you use the Shop app or Shop Pay, Shopify's terms and privacy policy also apply. You can object to this use, or ask us about it, by emailing fashionlagunaltd.uk@gmail.com.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, process information outside the UK, including in Canada, the United States and the European Union. When this happens, we make sure your information is protected by UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or other safeguards allowed by UK law.

6. How long we keep your information

  • Order, payment and VAT records: 6 years from the end of the financial year, as required by HMRC.
  • Customer account: until you ask us to close it, or 3 years after your last order.
  • Customer service messages and complaints: 3 years.
  • Marketing list: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email on a suppression list so we do not contact you again.
  • Cookie and analytics data: as set out in our cookie banner, and no longer than 26 months.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to limit how we use your information
  • object to us using your information based on legitimate interests
  • object to direct marketing at any time
  • ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email fashionlagunaltd.uk@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Some rights do not apply in every case, for example we must keep order records for tax purposes.

8. Marketing

We will only send you marketing emails or texts if you agreed to receive them, or if you bought from us and did not opt out of hearing about similar products. Every marketing message includes an easy way to unsubscribe. You can also email us to stop marketing at any time.

9. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which make the website and checkout work, such as keeping items in your basket. These do not need your consent.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how our website is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. We use these for statistical purposes only, and you can turn them off at any time using the cookie settings link on our website.
  • Marketing cookies, which let Google, Meta and similar companies show you our adverts and measure them. We only use these if you accept them in our cookie banner.

You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of our website, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

10. How we protect your information

Our website uses secure HTTPS encryption. Our store and checkout run on Shopify, which meets the PCI DSS standard for card payments. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, and accounts are protected by passwords and two-step verification.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal information, please email fashionlagunaltd.uk@gmail.com with "Data protection complaint" in the subject line, or write to us at the address above. We will:

  • acknowledge your complaint within 30 days
  • look into it without undue delay and keep you updated
  • tell you the outcome
